Creamfields has always been one of the highlights of the UK festival season, but last year’s flooding was a cruel act of nature which unfairly gave the Cheshire based festival a bad press. This year however, nothing short of a hurricane could stop what promises to be one of the highlights of the summer, this coming weekend from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August.

Along with the millions spent on drainage and site improvements, the 10th Anniversary of the festival has given Cream an excuse to provide some ground-breaking ideas for this year’s event. The international festival circuit, especially in the US, seems to pride itself on some utterly astounding production values, and Creamfields have joined the international stage, a move which puts them way ahead of the competition in the UK. The largest festival stage in the UK , three times bigger than last year, FX towers in the crowd on both main-stages and some innovations in the smaller tents--such as moving the DJ booth in the Pete Tong/Nation arena into the middle of the arena--mean that Creamfields looks set to blow the competition out of the water, and that’s before the site build is even finished.

The tents are going up--with pictures regularly posted on the Creamfields’ Twitter page--and while they haven’t yet posted any pictures of the main stage, at six times as long as a double-decker bus, it’s bound to be an impressive sight.

Just one week away, there are very few tickets left, with some options already sold out and the rest going quickly. With a line-up which includes The Prodigy, Avicii, Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, Guetta, Hardwell, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and a whole host of others, this stunning array of artists, the amazing production values, and one of the most carefully planned festival sites in the world, means you’d be mad to miss out on the perfect way to spend your Bank Holiday Weekend.
