Elliphant’s Skrillex Collab ‘Only Getting Younger’ Gets Free Remix Package

Swedish badass Elliphant has commissioned an eclectic group of producers to remix her collaboration with Skrillex, Only Getting Younger.

Exploring several different backgrounds and genres, Elliphant was able to tap into a handful of producers for remixes, including TJR (which we previously covered here), Milo & Otis, Brazzabelle, NGHTMRE & Imanos, and Vice & Justyle. The remix package is completely packed with high quality productions that show off the different styles of each producer beautifully, from Milo & Otis' signature horns and Brazzabelle's thumping bass to Vice and Justyle's drum & bass rendition.

The remixes are out on Mad Decent, who've graciously released these as free downloads, available on SoundCloud here.

TJR Supercharges Elliphant’s ‘Only Getting Younger’

Swedish pop star Elliphant's release Only Getting Younger only gets harder after its rework from LA's electro laureate, TJR.

He brings his standard battery of booty-commanding drums and a swerving sawtooth bassline to bear on yet another clinic in classic electro house, not easily found among today's cavernous, kick-powered big room compositions. The original beat is a bassy blend of trap and dubstep courtesy of none other than Skrillex, and TJR keeps the energy level high despite slowing it down to 128, making Elliphant's hedonistic verse sound far more deliberate and triumphant in nature over the four-on-the-floor beat. The piano-led intro resurfaces, however in the form of a mid-track breakdown, rounding out TJR's most recent into a formidable electro romp of a remix.

Get more TJR here, and pick up your free copy of his Elliphant remix here.

Hear Skrillex And Diplo’s Unreleased Jack U Originals

Diplo and Skrillex played at least three unreleased Jack U originals during their Saturday night HARD Summer set Aug. 2, including their collab with AlunaGeorge.

If you weren't lucky enough to be there, Stoney Roads found three fan videos of new Jack U material in action that should excite even the most marginal of fans despite the poor audio quality. As arguably the most anticipated set of the weekend, all eyes were on Jack U Saturday night, and the two opened strong with the bassy trap number with vocals from AlunaGeorge that the duo first played during their debut at the Mad Decent Block Party in 2013.

Skrillex' dubstep flair shines through the second ID with trademark rudeboy attitude.

The third preview is much shorter (just before Valentino Khan's Recess remix arrives), but ensures that the five tracks we were promised from Jack U this year will offer a sufficient level of twerk from the booty-concerned brain of the random white dude himself.

Diplo also shared a fourth new track at a recent set in Paris titled Take You There, which features a big, brassy trap beat and the voice of Canadian singer Kiesza. Watch the comparatively good-quality video below, and stay tuned for an official release and the Jack U mixtape we were promised.
